Theatre on Ice Team12 Week program Levels Basic 6 and up Classes held Fridays 4:30-5:30pm TOI Coaches: Elise Gallagher, Director Philip Chang, Coach What is Theatre on Ice? Theatre on Ice (TOI) is a concept involving all aspects of figure skating, while adding a theme, emotion or story, enhanced by music. It is a performance that includes five dimensions: - Choreography - Skating movements and technical elements - Props or scenery - Sound and Music - A central theme Why join Theatre on Ice? This twelve-week program is an exciting team performance. It incorporates technical jumps and spins with unique choreography, ice dance, synchronized skating, movement, and theater together in order to tell a story, or to act out an emotion or idea. Participating in our Theatre on Ice Team provides an opportunity for skaters to be a part of a team while continuing to use their technical skills and provides a performance outlet for skaters who choose not to compete as individuals. At the end of each semester, the team will perform two shows in which parents and friends are encouraged to attend. Who is eligible to participate? Skaters ages 7 and older, tested at Basic 6 through Freestyle levels are eligible to join the team upon evaluation by the Director.
