City Ice Pavilion is currently seeking:

Shift Manager / Zamboni Driver
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for driving the Zamboni correctly and safely to ensure and maintain acceptable ice conditions. Successful candidates will be trained completely on the operation and daily maintenance of the Zamboni. Additional job functions

SKILLS REQUIRED:
-Must be able to work well in a team environment.
-Must be highly motivated to learn new skills, (ice resurfacing, ice edging), that are essential for a successful rink operation.
-Must have the ability to supervise and offer direction to rink attendants.
-Must have the ability to solve problems as they arise and be able to perform tasks without supervision.
-Must be able to assume a positive and active role at the rink, even while working under potentially stressful conditions (weather, upset or injured participants, etc.).
-Must have the ability to be firm with participants when necessary and make sound decisions in order to ensure the safety and well-being of participants, facilities and equipment. An ability to interact and communicate well with others is essential.
-Ability to understand and carry out verbal and/or written instructions efficiently and effectively. This will include the ability to complete daily reports. An understanding of basic mathematics is required to successfully complete these reports.
-Be able to follow safety guidelines and exercise good judgment in all aspects of responsibility.
-Must be physically strong enough to lift and move heavy objects, such as hockey nets.
-Ability to work alone or in teams, work overtime, weekends, holidays as needed.
-A pre-employment background screening will be required
-Flexible schedule a plus!

Skate Guard
Seeking a motivated, friendly, hard-working skate guard.
15-20 hours per week. Potential for more hours during busier seasons.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Skate guarding
-Skate Rental
-Cleaning
-Light maintenance
-Organizing

Skills and Requirements
-Must provide own skates
-Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented,
-Ability to work alone or in teams, work overtime, weekends, holidays as needed.
-Flexible schedule a plus!

Janitor/Custodian/General Cleaning/ Handyman
Seeking a motivated, friendly, hard-worker for janitorial and general cleaning duties.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
-Heavy cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, deep cleaning fixtures and benches.
-Surface care (dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing)
-Waste removal (empty trash and recycle bins, transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas)
-Light maintenance (replace light bulbs, restock supply cabinet/room)
-Removing snow from facility as needed

Skills and Requirements
-Custodial experience
-Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented,
-Ability to communicate orally and via e-mail
-Ability to work alone or in teams, work overtime, weekends, holidays as needed.
-A pre-employment background screening will be required
